Landes just emailed me this list. Would anyone like to attempt to identify the origins of these and include specific contextual details?
Long live Cyd, clops, burps, simultaneous thumb rubs, grimmy greasy #@!%&*! hands, burpsy bombseye, tiger shirts, skanking, Miss Centerville - Tana, Joeyoioioioi, Ms. Higby, your mom's car, DTS, the bird, toads, jobbers, butt-squat'n motorcycle riders with 3-D glasses, Beearlos, your rough hands, the batmobile, Town & Country Raquet Club, Bramlet, Dringle (she's looking at you!!!), the Flock!
Brent: Okay, I will start. The DTS that Landes is referring to is actually DST and it stands for Delivery Service and Transfer. This was the name of my dad's company. It was located on 15th South and Redwood Rd. I spent many a summer working on the old forklift in the warehouse moving freight around, loading and unloading trucks, and driving the Bobtails around the city making deliveries. One summer was particularly memorable. I pull up next to this building on 21st South to make a delivery and jumped out of the truck without setting the brake or putting it in gear. I went inside to tell the business owners that I had a delivery for them and the lady said to me, "Is that your truck out there?" I said yeah and she said, "Well its rolling away!" I've never run so fast in my whole life. I got to the brake and stopped it just centimeters away from the front end of a brand new Mercedes Benz. I think I asked my dad if I could spend a couple of days in the warehouse after that. I wanted to stay as far away from that bad luck truck as I could get.

Well I'll try and tackle a couple of these.
"Simultaneous thumb rubs" should be "Fatherly pat with a simultaneous thumb rub." Not sure where it came from but it was well used by all. Thanks Landes.
"Bramlett" was a young smokin hottie (hah!) that was after Brent for most of his high school career. If not in actuality at least in all of our minds.
"Flock" has to refer to "Flock of Seagulls" that started the whole "waver" (New Wave) music phenomenon. This music greatly influenced what we listened to as I skipped wrestling practice to go night skiiing with the buds, at Brighton. No wonder I was never a great wrestler. Go figure.
"Batmobile" refers to the 1960 Mercury Comet that I had the luxury of driving to High School. I think we push started that car in the morning about 40% of the time and the heater never warmed up until we got to school. That's why you had to stick your head out of the window to see around the ice covered windshield because the defroster never worked. The floor boards was missing, at least on the driver side, so it was recommended that the driver keep their feet on the pedals. Maybe not as cool as Leland's yellow camaro with the 8 track tape player in the glove box, the haunted red flashing devil light in Landes car, or maybe not even as reliable as Brents Nova (#2), but it got us around. (wow, can you say "run on sentence")
"Town & Country Racquet Club" refers to the gym that Brent, Landes, and Brad Barlow may have had memberships to. This is the gym where I think we hooked up with Landes. The conversation of Brent and I as we first realized Landes worked out there and he walked into the weight room.
Bryan: "Hey, that looks like Landes Holbrook."
Brent" "No way, that guy is fetching huge."
I also remember Brad Barlow working out with us a couple of times there because he was extremely strong on the lat pull downs. Dang swimmer!
Anyway, that's all I have time for right now. The other ones are vaguely familiar but I'll just stick to the easy ones.
Regrettably, "Get you bleeping greasy, grimmy hands off my french fries" was said to Landes by me in a moment of extreme hunger and/or adolescent hormonal imbalance. I remember it as being in Dee's family restraunt after a stomp or some other late night activity giving credence to the theory of altered mental status. However, Landes recalls the incident occuring in the lunch room of VHS. Either way, let me say again, I am truly sorry for this shameful outburst. It still must be deeply troubling to you for it to have made your list. Please accept my apology and stay away from my freaking fries.
Another entry I especially enjoyed was "burpsy bombseye". I'm afraid the correct word in this phrase is "bonzai" which is a Japanese expression akin to "cowabunga", "charge" or "Geronimo"; not to be confused with "bonsai" which is the art of minature shrubbery. I believe we used the burpsy bonzai moniker to denote a skier who would go straight down the mountain with little or no turning while being mostly out of control but thinking they were hot stuff. The kamikaze piolts probably yelled "bonzai" as they started their final dive. Perhaps Landes' variation "bomb's eye" is therfore more fitting.
Sorry, the correct spelling is "banzai" not "bonzai". Opps. Does this blog thing have a spell check?
"Ms. Higby" and "Dringle" were both from the same context. While Bryan and Leland were slaving away in AP English their senior year, Landes and Brent were in Ms. Higbee's regular English class. This was often termed disparagingly as "Retard" English. We really loved Ms. Higbee and actually learned quite a bit (given our limited English proficiency status at the time, we could do nothing but push the bounds of our labelling). Anyway, I believe this was a mixed class of juniors and seniors and one particular student, a junior, really had a crush on Landes. One day I when I glanced over at her, she was looking right at Landes. I let Landes know of the apparently sincere inclinations towards his handsome self and he looked right at "Dringle." When their eyes met she gave him the kind of smile that would warm the owner of any lonely heart. Unfortunately, try as she might, poor Dringle was not able to win the affections of Landes'. We heard that Mrs Higbee died of cancer a few years after we graduated. Never heard what became of the girl.
"Skanking" was what we did with unabashed ferocity in front of Landes' house or Albertson's parking lot to the tunes of "Little Red Covette" or "1999" (Prince). I always wondered why Landes' mom didn't forbid him to hang out with us after that. I think that Ron Larsen was partially responsible for this dance derivative.
A couple of other terms that could be added to the list is "digger". Can't remember what that girls name is but she had a funky shaped head.
And "Sip Tea" (with hand placement) used to frequently make fun of the madrigalification (Pres. Bush made this term popular) of Cyeeeeed Staples and others.
It is probably most appropriate for me to comment on "Your Mom's Car" Here's how it all happened. I was minding my own business heading back to my car (my mom's car) after a night of peach punch drinking and story talking at Leland's (with Gail and Ivan and the gang), when I was ambushed by Bryan and Landes. They snuck up behind me and threw gigantic snow boulders right at my head just as I was opening the car door, and the snow went directly into the back seat. It later melted and left huge water stains. My mom was so mad that I was grounded from driving her car for at least a month. Anytime after that I was super sensitive about what happened to my mom's car. And even though I was ridiculed and harrassed for years after about my mom's car, I want you guys to know that I did find a place for forgiveness in my heart. You LOSERS!
