Never in the history of mankind has an article of clothing prompted so much personal abuse from friends than the puffy blue coat that I wore during the years of 1982-1984. The "burping" was relentless. It scarred me both physically and emotionally for years after. If you only knew what you were doing to me, I think you would have stopped. The only thing that tops this is the nickname I was given in the locker room by Jaren Pack in retaliation for my calling his locker stinky. Do you guys have anything to say for yourselves?

I loved smacking that blue coat! There was something very satisfying about it. It was like Brent was wearing a huge safety airbag on his back and was oblivious to any abuse. After reading the blog I guess not. Sorry Brent. Anyway, look at all the great memories that coat made for us. I've actually tried smacking the back of my daughters puffy green coat, trying to get the same effect, but it just didn't feel right. Nothing can replace the big blue coat. Thanks, Brent, for putting up with us.
I guess I have to admit my addiction... My right hand still has a twitch! It is like a bad habit that never goes away! I have had such a yearning for the last 20 years to smack that nice blue coat. Even today, I still smack Greenor on the back remembering the satisfying feeling of the cupped-hand burp and the simultaneous sound that occurred with the smacking hand action - it was and incredible feeling of satisfaction that far out weighs the value of our friendship and any scaring that Brent may have felt both physically and emotionally. I still have to burp my children who only reply "you are so obnoxious!" I guess they just don't get it! Last month I looked at DI to see if I could find an old blue puffy coat to give to the Greenor for Christmas - hopefully to bring back old times, but they did not have anything blue and puffy! Suck! Fetch, holy scrud!
Why are my hands locked togther? Gay hands? I loved my "Members Only" jacket!
I for one never knew the origin of that nickname and am proud to say that I never used it.
