My Christmas picture was inspired by Bryan and Leland's (see below). I gathered the kids around me and snapped this natural shot outside my house. The little boy on the right lived next door to us and was always at our door asking for food. He would come to the screen and look through and yell in Marshallese "Hey! Give me some food!" He drove us crazy! Another unpleasant aspect of living next to these kids was that they would often go to the ocean behind our house and have bowel movements on the reef. When we yelled at them, they would just laugh at us. Leland and Bryan, Would you like to comment on your cards? I have always wondered what the heck Bryan and his companion are doing. Also, we are missing Landes and Brad's cards. Do you folks happen to have a copy we can post?

You can see me flying off another rice straw stack in a similar photo posted on Feb 25, 2007. My wife just pointed out the resemblence of the haystack to a Christmas tree. I had never thought of that before but I now realize the subconscious genius inherent in composing this brilliant photo and why Brent has been drawn to its intrinsic beauty and power.
With those sleeves rolled up, Brent is demonstrating the guns that propelled him to become an elite member of the "3000 club" at VHS.
